When a user’s entry pass is past the expiration date, the status of the entry pass changes in the app to show “Expired” state. The user can no longer view a QR code on expired entry passes; they are simply presented an option to renew or create an entry pass.
At this time, users are not notified if the entry pass is about to expire.
As a best practice, we suggest communicating with patrons before an event to remind them to generate their pass and if they’ve already created one, to verify that their pass is valid.
